What an incredible weekend! Our CEO and board members had a fantastic time bowling with the amazing residents of Ewaka Housing! It was a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and community bonding. Building connections beyond the office is what we’re all about! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this fun outing. Here’s to more moments like these that strengthen our community ties! #EwakaHousing #CommunityFirst #BowlingFun #TeamBuilding #MakingMemories

NEW RESIDENT ORIENTATION:

Welcome to Ewaka Housing! We are excited to announce our recent Resident Orientation, where we had the pleasure of welcoming our very first two residents into the Ewaka community! During the orientation, our new residents were introduced to the various amenities and services available to them, met the staff, and learned about the vibrant community activities that Ewaka has to offer. It was a wonderful opportunity to foster connections and ensure everyone feels at home from day one. A special thank you to everyone who joined us in making this event memorable! We’re thrilled to have you as part of our Ewaka family and can’t wait to see how you contribute to the spirit of our community. Here’s to new beginnings, friendships, and a bright future together! #EwakaHousing #ResidentOrientation #WelcomeHome #CommunitySpirit #NewResidents

EWAKA HOUSING PROJECT

Take a The EWAKA Project is designed to tackle urgent issues pertaining to housing insecurity, discrimination, and the lack of support encountered by Black 2SLGBTIQ+ refugees, newcomers, and gender-diverse individuals in Canada. Such individuals frequently face barriers in obtaining safe and welcoming housing due to racism, discrimination, and cultural insensitivity in existing housing services. Insufficient tailored support services further increase their vulnerability and complicate their successful integration into Canadian society.
